Thank you for your patience with my numerous questions and changes I requested throughout the years since we had to postpone several times due to covid! Thank you for working with us on changing our group dates, providing us Group rates and rescheduling our Guest Reservations. You did a fantastic job for us and our Wedding was fantastic and our Guests had a wonderful experience!

We enjoyed the resort and thought the pricing selection for our guests were reasonable. Our Gazebo Wedding, Terrace Cocktail hour and Reception Hall was so spectacular. Jeff and I had a sneak peak while someone was cleaning and the view of the Terrace and Reception hall was better than expected and took our breath away with Excitement of the venue!

The food and service was fantastic! I was also very happy with your recommendations of Wedding Coordinator Annemiek. She did a wonderful job and the decorations looked great. Mahadavi, You have been WONDERFUL to work with!!

In November I married the woman of my dreams! We decided to do a Destination Wedding and chose it to be done in Sint Maarten because we both have vacationed there before individually and thought this would be the perfect island to host our family and friends for this joyous occasion. The only thing we needed now was the right location to host everyone and we chose Sonesta Ocean Point Resort.

We knew right away that we were going to have an amazing wedding from the first time we spoke to our wedding sales manager Katlyn. She and her staff gave us exemplary service from start to finish! We had over 150 guests fly in from different parts of the globe to celebrate with us and to this day, over 1 year later, we still get phone calls from relatives telling us how much fun they had and how eager they are to go back.

Katlyn and her amazing staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and our guests to make sure that the entire experience was memorable. We are planning a return next year for our 2 year anniversary and we already know there’s only one place we are going to stay and that is at Sonesta Ocean Point!

We are writing this review to describe a wonderful experience and what ended up being a wedding that dreams are made from. We first want to start with our thoughts about the property. We used the ocean pointe gazebo, overlooking Maho bay and it was absolutely picture perfect.

You can just imagine the white chairs with our fuchsia sashes in front of the white gazebo, outlined by a clear blue sky and water so aqua blue it screams “The Caribbean”.

The staff was so pleasant and friendly. From the time our guests arrived on the bus they were greeted with a warm welcome. Akilah was there to ensure everyone found their way to the ceremony site and felt right at home. She did not stop there, as she stayed throughout the entire ceremony and made sure the music was on queue and the food and drink started right on time.

Katlyn, the wedding event manager for Sonesta, was extremely accommodating with every request we had. She was super patient from the planning process all the way through the day of the wedding. We are very thankful for her kindness and guidance throughout the planning of our destination wedding, which can be very stressful when you live so many hundreds of miles away.

Just knowing that we could count on her to return calls and emails, because she proved over and over how responsive she was. She also oversaw all the details on our big day to ensure it went perfect.

We would highly recommend Sonesta Maho Beach Resort for your wedding. It is absolutely beautiful, family friendly and exceeded our expectations. Sonesta is our recommendation for the friendly island of Saint Maarten’s go to destination wedding site.

Where to begin – this wedding has been a dream come true for my wife and I. Our guests were in complete ‘awe’ with the venue which our ceremony happened at (on the beach overlooking the ocean). From start to finish everything ran smoothly and occurred just as planned.

Organized a wedding at Ocean Point

My fiancee and I just returned from our destination wedding at the Sonesta Maho Resort & Casino, and could not be happier! We went into the planning process with a lot of questions and were a bit nervous with not being able to see the venue beforehand, but Katlyn, Maressia and Mahadavi were great – they were incredibly helpful, right up until the end of the night.

The resort provided a wedding planner and photographer that we were very happy with, and our photos were handed to us on a USB before we even left the resort! The day was beautiful and our whole family had a fantastic week.

We’re grateful that we had such a professional and knowledgeable team working with us, and certainly recommend the Sonesta Maho for any brides who are looking for a picturesque venue!

We had an unforgettable time with the 83 people that joined us at the resort for our wedding. The wedding sales group, especially Katlyn and Akilah, did a wonderful job in making sure that I got everything I wanted. My guests were pleased with the food at the wedding – everyone said it was delicious. We did request no cumin – it seems they season everything with it. I have guests that are ready to go back – half of us stayed at Ocean Point and half stayed at Maho.

The fact that the hotel is renovating its spaces to make it more modern was a plus – the Royal Pavillion and terrace were updated recently made it very nice. You can get a lot with the marry me for free package. However, I had a lot of upgrades for my wedding which drove up the costs. Still, I could never have the wedding I did in NY for the price and quality.

We had our wedding at the beautiful Sonesta Ocean Point Resort. Our Event Specialist, Katlyn Jarvis, was very thorough during the entire planning process.

Although we booked the venue space at the upper pool before construction began, Katlyn ensured us that everything would be perfect for our special day. It exceeded our expectations!

From choosing the menu to collaborating with our vendors, Katlyn walked us through every step of the way to execute the perfect event.

My husband and I tend to be big food critics but the food served at our wedding was absolutely delicious, comparable to the fine dining we are used to in New York City. Even the cake was delicious and beautifully decorated!

The gazebo was a great location for the wedding. The breeze kept everyone cool during the ceremony. The venue was perfect and had a great A/C which was very important.

The food and drink service was spot on and everyone enjoyed the whole atmosphere. I would recommend the Sonesta Maho to anyone looking to get married in beautiful Saint Martin.

The location of the resort is perfect. It is close to the casino, Sunset beach, Mullet bay beach, local shops, Mullet Bay golf course, and plenty of restaurants. It is safe and easy get around.
