What is the total capacity of your convention center?

Our convention center is the largest in the Caribbean, accommodating up to 700 guests. The main ballroom can host 600 guests in a theater setup, 350 for banquets, and 420 in a classroom style.

How many separate meeting rooms or breakout spaces do you offer?

We provide 7 versatile meeting spaces, including a room that divides into two sections, plus 4 breakout rooms, boardrooms, and pre-function areas.

What are the ceiling heights in your main meeting spaces?

The main ballroom boasts 17-foot ceilings, perfect for events needing rigging. Breakout rooms range from 7 to 12 feet in height.

Do you have outdoor event space options?

Yes, we offer oceanfront and poolside venues for events, accommodating 80 to 200 guests for receptions and dinners.

Logistics & Planning

How far is your resort from Princess Juliana International Airport?
We’re located just 5 minutes from Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM), with transportation options easily arranged through our concierge.
Do you provide airport transfers for groups?
Yes, we offer group airport transfers that can be included in your meeting package or arranged separately. Our transportation partners can accommodate groups of all sizes.
What shipping and receiving capabilities do you offer for event materials?
Our dedicated shipping and receiving department handles all event materials, with secure storage available up to 5 days before your event with a fee of $75 per day. We provide detailed shipping instructions for international customs clearance.
Is there a dedicated event/conference services team?
Yes, each group is assigned a dedicated Conference Services Manager who serves as your single point of contact throughout the planning process and event execution.

Technology & Equipment

What is your internet bandwidth capacity for large groups?
Our convention center features enterprise-grade Wi-Fi with 5 Mbps dedicated bandwidth, capable of supporting up to multiple simultaneous connections. Custom network configurations and dedicated bandwidth options are available.
What audiovisual equipment is included, and what needs to be rented?
Basic AV setups such as projector, screen, microphone, speakers, television and ambient lighting can be rented. Advanced production equipment is outsourced; our Convention Services staff will be happy to discuss your needs.
Do you have on-site technical support?
Yes, our technical team is available upon requests during your event to ensure all systems operate flawlessly.

Accommodations

What is your total room inventory for group blocks?
We offer a minimum of 10 guest rooms and suites that can be allocated for group blocks, with a variety of room types.
What is your room block attrition policy?
Our master standard attrition policy allows for a 5% reduction in your contracted room block without penalty if adjusted 121 days prior to arrival. However, a self-standard attrition policy offers a 10% reduction without penalty. Custom terms can be negotiated based on group history and size.

What dining options are available for groups?
We offer 9 restaurants on property, 3 exclusives to Ocean Point guests namely, Azul Restaurant (Mediterranean/International), Portofino (Italian), and Bluefin Restaurant (Seafood) and 6 at Maho Beach; Ocean Terrace Buffet Restuarant (Caribbean fusion), Pizzeria Napoli, The Palms Grill Restaurant (Caribbean & Grill), Cantina Paradiso (Mexican), La Fontana Restaurant (Italian) and The Village Tavern (American). Our banquet menus feature both international cuisine and authentic Caribbean specialties.
Can you accommodate special dietary requirements?
Yes, our culinary team specializes in accommodating all dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, halal, and allergy-specific restrictions with advance notice.

We offer numerous on-property activities including beach Olympics, cooking competitions, mixology classes, and treasure hunts. Custom programs can be designed to meet specific objectives.
