Pet & Service Dog Policy

Please be advised that no pets are permitted at Sonesta St. Maarten; only certified service dogs are accepted.

At Sonesta St. Maarten, we acknowledge the special bond between you and your four-legged service companion, understanding the significance of their presence. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience during your stay, we exclusively welcome certified service dogs.

Upon check-in, please provide a copy of the certification to our front desk. Our staff will furnish you with essential details about designated walk areas and any additional information required for your stay.

As our resorts operate on an all-inclusive basis, certified service dogs are allowed only in our outdoor dining venues. Guests are legally responsible for their service dogs while on the property.

Owners of disruptive or aggressive service dogs may be asked to remove them from the facilities if the dog’s behavior poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others.

Examples of unacceptable behavior for a service dog include uncontrolled barking, jumping on other people, growling at people, or running away from the handler.

To provide an allergy-free and clean environment for our next guests, a cleaning fee of $250 USD per stay will be applied.
