Hurricane Policy

In understanding that severe weather events can necessitate changes to travel plans, and in keeping with our commitment to partnership, the following hurricane policy will be in effect for this season:
Should there be a Hurricane Warning for a Category 1 or higher (as defined by the U.S. National Hurricane Center) affecting Sint Maarten or the gateway from which guests are traveling:

• Cancellations: Guests opting to cancel their reservations within 48 hours of arrival will have penalties waived.
• Arrival Delays: Guests unable to arrive due to flight cancellations or airport closures will have the following options:
  • Arrive on the first available flights post-storm and take the number of nights originally confirmed, subject to room availability, at the same rate, or stay until your original departure date. Any remaining nights will be issued as a credit for future travel up to one year.
  • Rebook at the reserved rate through December 23, 2024, subject to availability.
  • Cancel according to the cancellation policy of the reservation.
• Early Departures: Guests who choose to depart early while in-house will have penalties waived and will receive a credit in USD, valid for one year, equivalent to the cost of the unused nights based on the rate at which they originally booked.
• Departure Delays: Guests unable to depart due to airport closures or flight cancellations will be offered distressed rates based on resort availability, to be paid directly at the resort. Alternatively, guests may extend their stay at the originally booked rate through their travel agent.
